Kids can be frustrating

As a parent you love your kids unconditionally. Every once in awhile you just want to strangle them as well. What is it about kids and their lack of not just listening and comprehending what your telling them? We have asked our kids over and over and over and over and over and over again not to take food out of the kitchen dining area. But do you think that the reminders ever sink in? No. It doesn’t mean anything to them because kids will do whatever the hell they want to do as I found out today as I went downstairs to see him and a friend having lunch and hot chocolate. Not only was I staring in disbelief at the reality of the complete defiance he sneezed and spilt his hot chocolate on our new carpet. I am so ticked off right now. I don’t even know what to do to expect anything more because basically it comes down to I care enough that despite me not seeing a problem with it I’ll respect your wishes. No I get basically a fuck you. I’ll do whatever I want because I am selfish. Parenting really can suck sometimes. Kids are not that stupid it’s a choice and it’s a very disrespectful one.

  1. Whenever we misbehaved or had the foolish slip to say: “I’m bored, I have nothing to do” we were given a task. My dad would have us go pick up rocks and sticks around the yard. Hard labors spells tough love for when children don’t want to get with the program. Now a parent may have child services called to the house, if electronics are confiscated during the day as punishment.
