I found this profound. Aren’t we all sinners? Perhaps the idea of ministry instead of checking off an assignment will help us discover greater patience, kindness, empathy and love.

Church is not a resort it is a hospital for the sick of mind and spirit. It is the only true refuge that we can find in this world. If we lay our sins at his feet and pick up his cross then we can see his glory. The problem is that if you carry his cross your head will be bowed and you will be humble. If you are judging and able to look someone in the eye and see their sins then you have yet to pick up his cross.
