This year we celebrated a week with friends. Mandy, Sara and their families came up on Friday March 29th. We spent the weekend watching Sweet 16 and Elite 8 basketball games and my bracket was obliterated. March Madness lived up to its name. The Barn was basketball central for the second week in a row. Lots of peeps coming and going. Sunday morning we had most of two rows! I love having friends and family at Church with us.
Monday started with a big breakfast. I was up early and ready to get on the road. Sadly not everyone was as enthusiastic. Departure was just before 10, a whole two hours later than planned. Once we got to Jackson Hole and settled in most of the day was spent snowmobiling. A few of us even got a night ride in. So much snow still up there. It was awesome!
Tuesday was spend skiing up at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. It was beautiful! I even did a little snowboarding after lunch. The food was great, the weather was great, the snow was incredible.
After a full day on the mountain the guys took us all to the the Gun Barrel Steak House for dinner. I really like this place. Food is always yummy and the atmosphere is so Jackson Hole.
Wednesday was a very early start with a trip to the Star Valley Temple with the kids. We got back around noon and the rest of the day was a choose your own adventure. Some stayed in and played video games, others snowmobiling. I went skiing again. There was a little snow on Wednesday as well which was a fun contrast to Tuesday. Everyone got back around 6 and finished getting everything packed up and headed back to Idaho.
Thursday morning started with another Temple trip. This time the Idaho Falls Temple. The adults did an endowment session and the kids baptisms. After we grabbed some lunch and just had a casual afternoon. Our friends left Thursday evening around 6 to head back to Utah. Always hard to say goodbye.
Friday afternoon our oldest came home for Conference weekend with a few friends from BYU. We ate great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I was so full from eating and spiritually full from the talks. The boys all went to the Stake Center for the Priesthood Session and us girls watched the Final Four. I feel rejuvenated spiritually, mentally and physically. It was a much needed week seeing friends and our son. I can live with my bracket destroyed, everything else turned out well lol. This is my choice for the Championship game. Go Tech!
