It has been a busy Thanksgiving break. We have our two back from BYU for the week. They beat us home and it was a huge surprise. Wasn’t expecting them into Monday night. The boys braved the cold to get Christmas lights hung and tree branches wrapped. Brutally cold with the wind. Bundled up and pushed through. Daughter and I took care of most the indoor decorations, baking and prep for Thanksgiving Day. A few friends joined us this year for the Feast. A good time and included Star Trek Wrath of Khan.
Friday morning we left early for San Diego and the BYU vs San Diego State football game. Flew to SLC where the family met us to fly the rest of the way. This year is the first in awhile where we had all 19 together. Stayed at Rancho Valencia, a beautiful resort where I had been for a couple of Girls Getaways. Took two Villas and a Hacienda for us all. The Hacienda had a private heated pool as well.
Enjoyed the Spa and a massage Friday afternoon. The Thermastone Massage was incredible. Here is the description and two hours of WOW. “Utilizing warm and cool river stones to create a deep and penetrating massage, stone therapy promotes tissue integrity, cleansing, deep relaxation and the balancing of energy centers.“ Dinner Friday at the Veladora Restaurant there at the Resort. Loved the Brandt Beef Filet Mignon.
Villas. Loved all the outdoor spaces.
The Veladora Restaurant The Pony Room Bar have amazing food! For lunch do the French Dip Sandwich. Yum! Everything on their menus looked delicious.
Saturday morning there was yoga, a run, breakfast buffet, tennis and relaxation. The BYU game was a disappointment, it really sucks to lose. I really enjoyed time with our Tribe though. Family is everything. As they grow up you never know when you will get those precious times where everyone can be together.
Sunday morning was a mass exodus out of San Diego. Always nice to make it home.
