Sundance 2021 Edition

Wednesday packed up iPads, giveaways, glass jar, signage, brochures and everything for the swag bags. Left Idaho Falls in the middle of a snow storm for Deer Valley with a stop at Costa Vida for $6 burritos. Offer for today only! If you don’t have the Costa Vida app you are missing out. I will admit I am pretty excited for this week. Going to be awesome seeing peeps.

Kami, Mandy and Sara arrived about an hour after Anna and I did. Pretty much finished the setup for our 2021 edition of the Sundance Film Festival. Everything done except the swag bags, will be up late tonight finishing those. This year’s swag includes a cool pen, gift card to Kneaders, Deer Valley Beanie, dōTERRA Siberian Fir essential oil, Megaplex gift card and a cool pair of Oakley Canopy Ski Goggles. Hoping our guests enjoy the gifts.

Drove down to Park City Main Street for dinner. Tried a new place, the No Name Saloon. Their big thing is Buffalo Burgers and they were sooooo good. The Jazz game was on and it was fun watching with a crowd. Not the normal sized crowd but enough to make some noise. Had everyone cheering the Jazz to victory. I was laughing so hard. Good times! Bought a round of drinks for our fans. Funny thing, I guess they thought we were celebrities or something. Made me laugh as I sipped on my virgin margarita and posed for pics. 😂 Got the tee and some gift cards for giveaways on the way out. READ THE RULES in the pic below!

Loved the Rules!

Thursday Deer Valley skiing with fresh powder. Does not get better than today. This year decided to host our Sundance Events even though the Film Festival is entirely virtual. Doing our part to keep it alive. The parties had to be 100 guests or fewer. VIPs got to register early for the nights they wanted to attend. Other clients were able to use the open registration portal on a first come, first serve basis. Clients unable to attend the party were able to drop by during skiing for hot chocolate, snacks and food. It was so fun to have peeps ski off the run and stop in for a break. ♥️ Keith and a couple of our Partners arrived throughout the afternoon. Game time!

Oh yes!
Virtual in 2021

Friday after a day on the slopes and playing Hostess the party started at 7. A few things guests are enjoying has been the pool table. The games of Spaz have been epic. Movies in the Theater playing over the three nights including Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Inception, The Prestige, TENET and The Dark Knight Rises. A Christopher Nolan feast. The indoor golf driving range was a hit. Heated outdoor space with a hot tub and pool. A few brave souls including our daughter and her friends had fun out there. Mass quantities of food, a chocolate fountain with bananas, strawberries, grapes, pineapple, Oreos and marshmallows. Silent Auction with a couple of trips, iPhone 📱, snowboard and a few other cool things plus the Giveaways. All guests got a raffle ticket and they could buy an additional one with a donation to the Foundation. A Facebook Live event each night with interviews and giveaways for those not able to attend. Even came up with a way to buy virtual raffle tickets for the online followers. It was a virtual Sundance Film Festival after all. Tonight was special as one longtime client gave us a check for $10K for the Foundation. That surprise alone gave me the energy to get through the night. I do not remember going to bed though lol.

Peaceful

Saturday wake up, breakfast, ski, lunch, host, nap, dinner, party. Not complaining, I love it, but I crashed hard last night. EXHAUSTION. Coach Keith and our youngest left for Idaho Falls after breakfast for their basketball 🏀 game. Looking to bounce back from a loss last weekend. I got some sexy sex with Keith before he left! Slept in till after 8, but woke up hot for cock. Caught the BYU vs Pacific double overtime game before the Party. Always fun to watch a game with peeps. Loved cheering 📣 for our crowd tonight.

BYU 95 Pacific 87 2OT

Our guests, both here and online, have been very generous. This year $26K was raised for the Foundation. Grateful! Facebook Live interviews tonight with Mandy & Sara. Some great shares about how to boost immunity and some tips on staying healthy. Plus a discussion on mental health. They are joining me later this month for skiing in Aspen, Colorado. Tomorrow head home to Idaho Falls early. Church, pack and a quick turnaround as Santa Fe is up next.

A final though. Over the past 4 days I have enjoyed seeing friends I haven’t seen much this past year. I feel rejuvenated and tired. Tired for going so hard but energized from the experience. I ♥️ my Tribe. COVID has cost us dearly in Connection. Even the most introverted among us needs Connection. The isolation breaks this tie that binds what is most precious in life. Us.

The Rest of the Story

So in regards to the vaccine and COVID. I will start by saying you may not agree with me and that is okay. I appreciate having a voice and the right to express an opinion.

I do not trust the government nor politicians at any level. They ALL lie. I do not trust the WHO (World Health Organization). I definitely don’t trust Fauci or Bill Gates who are at the forefront pushing the vaccines. Bill Gates created viruses in software to capitalize on it and is now trying to do it with human beings. He is the true definition of evil and conspiring men. Bill Gates is also posing as a scientist and is nothing short of a farce. Zero medical background unless you count being rich as the criteria for his expertise.

I believe this virus will endure for a couple years. At least into 2022. I believe the best way to protect yourself is to build your immunity. Take good supplements, Vitamin C and Vitamin D. Spend time in the outdoors. Fresh air and grounding will do you good. Get sleep, more than most people are. Eat well. Cut sugar down significantly. Exercise. Novel idea. Seems everyone wants the quick fix. A pill or a shot takes away any personal responsibility. I work with thousands of people and this is what I teach. Own the responsibility for your health and wellness. Physical, emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual, financial and mental. The crisis in this county is not COVID it is how poorly we have disengaged from personal responsibility. We are a malnourished society that has become sick and dysfunctional in all of these ways.

People often ask my opinion so here it is. I will not be getting any form of the vaccine. No judgement on those that choose to. I look forward to the day we are past this Age of COVID. Saddens me we have lost loved ones and good people. I believe the origin of the virus was engineered and weaponized by evil men. They thought they could control it. How wrong they have been and the lives of innocent people will condemn them to Hell. These vaccines are another tool designed to control the population. The vaccine has about as much chance of working as you do of actually dying of the virus. So yes, it may work for some, but it’s not worth the risk. Be wise in your decisions. There are many ways to boost your immunity without the vaccine.

The virus did its job. As a Nation we have willingly forfeited our freedom, fear grips the masses, and greater government control than I have ever witnessed in my life is now being forced upon us every day. Should we be concerned? Yes, but more in what government is doing than what this virus is doing.

Final thoughts from Paul Harvey. Take a listen and be honest with yourself. If I were the Devil. https://youtu.be/S9NoQHgjM_0

Lake Tahoe

Monday arrived in Reno. SUV waiting for us so loaded up our gear and drove to Stateline, Nevada. First up Resort Tour and an afternoon in the Spa. Girl’s Trips don’t happen every week so this was exciting for all six of us. Loved the s’mores outdoors. Nice way to end the day.

Tuesday looked at two properties on the California side of Lake Tahoe. One was on a beautiful lot but some things I didn’t like I couldn’t reconcile with. The other was perfect. Fingers crossed. Stopped and grabbed lunch at Basecamp Pizza. Wanted to dine-in but take-out was our only option. After lunch spent the afternoon skiing Heavenly. Beautiful day and some good snow from the weekend. Hard Rock Resort for dinner at the Alpine Union Bar. Chicken wings, chicken tenders, chips & salsa. Way too many appetizers to choose only one! Burgers, fries and virgin margaritas made die a great meal.

Wednesday morning yoga followed by breakfast. Rest of the day spent skiing. Went to the Nevada side today to Stagecoach Lodge. Weather was beautiful in the mid-40s. I guess next week they should be getting a bunch of fresh snow. Timing wise it appears we got between two storms, but other than a little icy it’s been great. Dinner with our hosts tonight. Epic views from the restaurant.

Thursday after breakfast I had wrap up meeting with the GM followed by the road trip to Reno for the flight home. Some of the highlights of this trip. Each of us got a private room. Scenery was mind blowing. The views from on top of Heavenly…there are no words. Felt like looking down on the World. The ice skating was fun, been a long time. S’mores every night and time with my peeps. Loved the food. A bit artsy, but I enjoy that when traveling. Hoping for a return trip to experience Lake Tahoe in the Summer. Absolutely a year round destination.

Keith picked me up from the airport. Arriving home there was hugs and loves from the boys, dogs and horses. KFC for dinner was a good pick by Keith after a nap. BYU vs. Portland basketball game then early to bed. Wanting some cock. 😂

Winter Adventure in Jackson Hole

Alabama crushed Ohio State 52-24 on Monday night for the National Championship. Roll Tide!

Pups and Puss to see the Vet Tuesday. Keith in hot water. He started in with “Who wants to go see Doc?” The poor little guys don’t like Doc and I had to deal with anxious fur babies. Essential oils for the dogs to calm them down. Not sure we will see Cat for a month. No sex for Keith. He was very bad.

Claimed a “Me Day” on Wednesday. Looking ahead at 2021 feels a bit intimidating. Got up and made some blueberry muffins and hot chocolate. Went to the Barn and spent the majority of my time there. Couple miles on the elliptical, afterwards the dry sauna to relax. Listened to music and made a Chicken Caesar Salad for lunch. Had a massage in the afternoon, nap and went for a ride on my horse. Dinner at Olive Garden with my friend Ashley then crashed pretty early. Keith earned back some Grace by taking care of the kids and giving me some space. Still an intimidating year ahead but found some focus.

Made a big breakfast this morning. Keith and the boys loaded up the SUV and then off for Jackson Hole. I took the boys skiing on Thursday afternoon while Keith had some biz meetings. Thursday evening friends of ours arrived with their three kids. After dinner gave them a quick tour of Teton Village. Soooooo much snow! Link to Resort http://www.jacksonhole.com

After breakfast Friday a visit to the Spa and a 90 minute massage. Our son and daughter at BYU arrived with friends in time for lunch. Spent the afternoon skiing until it got dark. Steak dinner at the Mangy Moose Steak House with our group. Finished the evening at the rooftop hot tub. Holds 22 peeps and we had 17. Kids thought that was the coolest thing and stayed king after the adults bowed out. Views were spectacular.

Final Day the morning was spent snowshoeing and after a long lunch the afternoon snowboarding. Italian for dinner and OMG ate way too much. Our entire group was on the same floor and rooms were grouped together. With social distancing and masks enforced in the lobby and other areas, I enjoyed being able to visit late into the night in the suites.

Up early today to drive home. Keith has to be in meetings at 10. Kids are all coming back after they have breakfast. Church is at 1 again this year, which honestly works for us giving us a little more flexibility. Never thought I would say that about late Church lol. Packing today and leaving for Lake Tahoe tomorrow. ♥️

Red Mountain Resort

Tuesday morning our Partners flew in from Boston to pick us up enroute to Rossland, British Columbia. A Winter adventure in Canada 🇨🇦 to kickoff 2021.

Corner Room with a View

Loved our Corner Suite

Arrived at West Kootenay Airport in Castlegar. Shuttle transported us to the Hotel at Red Mountain Resort. Couple of runs down Red Mountain was a great way to start the trip. A little history of the area. Red Mountain is one of the oldest ski resorts in North America. Rossland was settled in 1892 as a mining town for Gold. Early settlers included some immigrants from Scandinavia who brought there love and skill for skiing. There are five mountains. Red, Granite and Grey all have ski lifts. Roberts and Kirkup are back country and access for Cat-Skiing and Heli-Skiing. Epic beauty. Here is a link https://www.redresort.com

Highlights of our stay included a strategic planning meeting that only lasted two hours. A couple of Spa visits. The FOOD! Shopping and dinner in Rossland after Cat-Skiing. The guys waiting for us at the local brewery. Informal strategy discussions late into the night. A few of our expert level skiers telling of their grand adventure Heli-Skiing. Nope it wasn’t me! Not being rushed. The meeting with the Resort peeps and it being so open and transparent. I absolutely loved this trip!

Saturday returned home mid-day. The pups and kids were excited to see us. Our youngest and Coach Keith had a basketball 🏀 game. A win to start a new season. Grabbed dinner and crashed early Saturday evening as the cat purred me to sleep. ♥️

What’s coming? A lot of travel. Upcoming trips this month include Lake Tahoe, Jackson Hole and the Sundance Film Festival in Park City to finish off January. Yes the Festival is still happening. Scaled way down and a big part of it is virtual. Hoping post COVID the Festival recovers and peeps come back.

January 28th – February 3rd

A final word if you are a skier or snowboarder. Plan a trip to Red Mountain Resort in Rossland. I highly recommend it. Can’t recommend it enough! ♥️
