I am so excited. This is like the most awesome of awesome weekends in 2017.
So here goes. Friday morning we are headed to Utah early. We will be staying at my favorite place in Sundance this trip. We can ski in and out of the property and this will be our first stay we get to do that. Makes for a fun day and plenty of hot chocolate breaks lol. Friday night is our annual Christmas Movie with clients and friends. This year the movie is The Last Jedi. I can’t wait to see everyone and to see the Saga continue. I have been telling everyone there is some huge reveal in the movie. It is going to be EPIC!
Saturday we are having an early dinner at Tucanos then the BYU Utah basketball game. Rise and Shout Cougars! Beat the Pukes! Going to enjoy my 4 inches of Cougar Tail and milk at the game and we are going to make some noise! Sunday we will go to our old Ward. Will be nice to see everyone else. I can’t believe 2018 brings two years since we moved. Happiest of days reunited with friends.
Monday we will be skiing as I mentioned. Glad they have enough snow to finally open. Monday night we attend the Forgotten Carol concert at UVU. This is one of our favorite things to do. This is the 11th time but first in a couple of years. It will be a fun evening with friends and family. If you are unfamiliar with Michael McLean’s Forgotten Carols make the time to go see it. If you can’t buy the CD and Book. Uncle John will bring such Joy into your life. Here is a link to The Forgotten Carols.
The other thing I love about this concert is at the end everyone sings Together Forever. It is so powerful and such a way to set the stage for Christmas. Here is the video.
Tuesday we will sleep in, have a big breakfast and then head home. I can’t believe the stars lined up this way for “The Greatest Weekend of the Year.” But they did. Now if BYU wins it will be perfect. Go Cougars!
Well it has finally arrived. The First Day of the Holiday Event Sprint. I enjoy it but dread it. I am grateful I was able to get some sleep on our flight back to Utah yesterday. I was so hungry when we landed. We dropped in at Red Rock Brewery and I had a New York Steak Salad and Brewed Rootbeer. It was so good. I had 3 glasses. Keith was like where is it going? Ha ha! We got to our place in Park City then went out for some groceries and came back and watched Star Trek Beyond. That is such a great movie. Fun watching on a big screen with surround sound on a comfy couch with a blanket. Leads to things! Naughty things. Can you say Sabotage? I don’t think I have ever had sex to the Beastie Boys cranked that loud! Link below for your pleasure. Although I doubt you enjoyed it as much as I did.
I truly do love the Holidays I just have to push through these events to get to my Holiday Joy. This is what I have ahead.
- 19 days
- 20 events
- 5 days of two events
- 3 Sundays with my kids
- Star Wars with my kids opening night
So at that point I’m psyching myself up for Go Time. I can do this it’s just another sprint! Eat well, plenty of rest, a smile and it will all work out. I tell myself this very thing every year. It helps ❤️ On the other side of Christmas is 5 days with my BFFs and their families over New Years! We are all looking forward to that. I am grateful beyond measure for the opportunity to do something I am good at. So ready or not here I come. #GOTIME
Well our first Holiday in Idaho. My two best friends and their families are coming up for the long weekend. They should all be here by 5. Tonight’s plans include a tour, BBQ, game night. Kids will probably play video games and watch a movie. I am so excited to see Sara and Mandy! Ok back to the plans. Tomorrow we are going to start the day with homemade donuts and I have OJ, grape juice, apple juice and pineapple juice. A juice for everyone! Then I am taking S&M on a run. We have a 5 miler planned so they can see the hood. Around noon the hubbies are taking all the kids for lunch, then to see Pete’s Dragon. After, they will pick up snacks for the BYU game and pizzas and hot wings. Sara, Mandy and I get some catch up time. Oh the things we have planned for our 5 hours of freedom. Naughty things. Very naughty things. It will be fun I can promise you that. So um where was I?! Oh yes, the BYU game. I personally believe BYU wins this game. Big crowd, return of Hill as QB, new coaching staff. They will be ready to make a statement. Rise and Shout! After celebrating the BYU win we plan to enjoy catching up on the deck. Probably look at stars with Keith’s telescope and have hot chocolate. Nights are cooling off but still nice to be out. The stars are very bright out here where we live. Sunday will bring church and a relaxing day. Will make a big dinner and probably watch a movie. Monday we are up early and headed to Jackson Hole for the day. I think we leave by 8 so should have a nice full day up there. I haven’t been there in years so looking forward to seeing it again. Such a pretty area. Basically our plans are to be tourists and eat and just enjoy. I need to see if they have a zip line or something. Maybe a good hike. I’ll google today and see what else there is to do. We will stay through dinner and then head back. Tuesday everyone heads home and Keith and I get ready for our trip back to Utah. Will get some fun with the boys then. :).
Tonight was soooooo fun! Suicide Squad finally arrived in the theater and tonight we melted brains. I dressed up as Harley Quinn. Did the makeup and hair coloring and had the outfit. Mandy, Sara and I got ready at Saras and met the guys at the Megaplex. They had no idea, it was priceless. I was just disappointed more people weren’t dressed up. I mean this was Suicide Squad! Get a little freaky people!!!! Still fun. I went for the Hot Tamales and Sprite tonight. Got lots of compliments on our outfits and even the Managet said hi. I think they actually appreciate me. I made sure everyone knew that we only went to Jake’s line. My popcorn was perfect! Triple layered with butter and salted. Yum! I am tired, it’s been a long day, and we have an early start Garage Sale tomorrow. I will say this, Wonder Woman looks soooo cool. Can’t wait!
